I live and work mainly in the UK and sometimes in Crete, using media that I feel are appropriate to express an idea. You will see from the range of work here that I actively seek new ways to tell a story and express an idea. What I love the most is to be surprised by the process and to create something that did not exist before. I have always thought that Art is the way we humans can understand the responsibility of 'Creation'. The bringing of a thought into the physical realm.
In my first ever interview as a head of Art in my 20s, the headteacher asked me whether it was the process or thematic content that was my primary concern as an artist and as a teacher. It was a question that appeared naive at the time, when the arrogance of youth coloured my judgement, but how clever it seems to me now. I have perhaps spent my life trying to answer it.
