Icon Silver and Copper
When I was little, I believed in angels. Their faces were the kindest images I saw in the church, an antidote to the forbidding and often critical looking images of saints. As I grew older, I confused the concept of an angel with someone’s physical appearance rather than any cosmic or spiritual presence.
There have been times in my life when I felt profoundly supported and there was no explanation for the kindness shown to me or the ease with which things happened. I want to believe in angels again and that is why this simple embossed print was originally made.
So if you, like me have a need to believe in a higher power, then maybe this little reminder, this simple artwork might …well it could help.
